Last night the winners were announced for the 2020 MTV EMA’s and this stands for “Europe Music Awards” in case you didn’t know that. Generally speaking, I like to post the nominations rundown and then deliver the envelope about the winners in a post but this year marks the first time that I am including these awards in our related rundowns. According to what I’ve read, they announced the list in early October and I must have been busy at the time. Piercing Ken Thoughts: So there you have it. I should mention that I didn’t follow along with the proceedings as they were announced and to be brutally honest, I don’t follow so many of the musical categories that they gave out trophies for. I was glad to see a Rock and Alternative category but was pretty shocked to find Coldplay beating out both Green Day and Pearl Jam. The Hard Rocker in me surely doesn’t consider Coldplay on an equal plane for Rock when compared to those two. Now before you accuse me of throwing shade, I do like a handful of Coldplay tunes but they are not a go to band for me at all. As I close this list up I’ll have to add that I liked the larger global artists being awarded so we could list them here. Placing names like those in our tagging is sure to awaken some extra Google searches and I am 100% fine with that. What did you think about these winners?
