By now I’d like to think that you’ve seen the trailer for Disney’s “Dumbo” but if you didn’t please click HERE to be on point with us all. Today the Tim Burton envisioning of the classic Disney character opens in theaters everywhere. Let’s review the poster, premise and casting before we close this post up.

The Premise: Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici hires him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, silver-tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, and aerial artist Colette Marchant swoop in to make the little elephant a star. (c/o Wiki)

Piercing Ken Thoughts: Now while I find the whole “Dumbo” story to be a classic and I am very curious as to how Tim Burton’s vision would play out for such a tale, I will not be among the lot of you that are seeing this in the theater. It’s mostly based on the timing more than disinterest but suffice it to say we have a laundry list of creative to-do on the plate. I’m going to be non stop for the next few days actually but I do wonder what your thoughts are and if you plan on going and bringing the wee ones along.
