Toy Association Announces Show Dates for Toy Fair NY 2022

With planning underway for the in-person Toy Fair New York 2021 from May 1 to 4, The Toy Association has now revealed show dates for Toy Fair New York 2022. The four-day show will bring toy and play professionals together from Saturday, February 19 through Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in the newly expanded Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

“We are thrilled to announce Toy Fair New York’s return to its usual timeframe and to highlight the opportunities the new state-of-the-art Javits Center will bring with it,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “With an expanded footprint for the overall show, Toy Fair NY 2022 will open the doors to new exhibitors and allow for new educational offerings, expanded networking opportunities, sponsorship opportunities, and more!”

Breaking: Toy Fair Dallas and Toy Fair New York 2021 Are Postponed

Though we attend the annual Toy Fair for both sides of the creative fence, I’ve shared the sad news about the cancellation of Toy Fair 2021 over on the PiercingMetal.com website. You can click HERE to see the statement from the President of the Toy Association Steve Pasierb. So far, 2020 has been almost a full year of disappointment and as you can see the cancellations are starting to flow into next year’s happenings as well. Let’s all hope for the best case scenario possible. Stay healthy and cautious my friends.

NY NOW Announces Re-Imagined Stationery Destination

NY NOW announced today plans to create a single stationery destination within its market. The reimagined stationery destination will be part of a re-branded Gift + Stationery section and, as a result, the National Stationery Show brand will be retired.

Stationery has always been a critical part of NY NOW and the new destination will allow for stronger merchandizing and an improved buying experience. The stationery destination will continue to feature the Greeting Card Association (GCA) Village so that emerging publishers have a pathway to participating in NY NOW.

NY NOW Cancels October Fall Edition Amid Coronavirus Concerns

NY NOW®, the modern wholesale market for retailers and specialty buyers seeking diversity and discovery, has decided, based on recent developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and after consultation with our community partners, to cancel the NY NOW Fall Edition and co-located National Stationery Show, which had been scheduled for October 18-20, 2020, at the Jacob Javits Center.

Recent developments have made it impossible to bring buyers and brands together safely and successfully. This is due to the ongoing progression of the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S., including the latest government data, measures, and guidelines on the phased reopening plans in the U.S.; the number of confirmed cases worldwide and domestically; current quarantines, containment areas, stay at home orders, and restrictions on congregating and large gatherings imposed by states and other government and public health authorities; travel restrictions into the New York City area; and the various company-imposed travel restrictions on employees affecting attendees and participating companies.
