You readers might already know that I go to the NY Comic Con every year and document the adventures over on PiercingMetal.com – Well, as result of this I get to meet groups of wonderful Cosplayers and a few have remained friends with me for years. Recently, one of them who regularly dresses as Harley Quinn, asked me that if I should see the “Gotham Girls” makeup sets by Walgreens could I snap some photos for her. I guess she wanted to see if these helped with the accessorizing of her colorful outfits. Anyway, my local store had them and I snapped a few photos. Here is what they look like.
As you can see, the “Gotham Girls” are Catwoman, Batgirl and Harley Quinn. This must be the first in a planned series of sets, and maybe we will find Huntress, Poison Ivy and Spoiler following them. I am having a little trouble recalling every Gotham female character as I write this.
This was the first I was hearing of the product line and I thought that it was pretty cool for the younger lady in your world or the cosplayer inside you. Maybe a good idea for the more creative reader is to do a YouTube video with the application of these. Stranger things have gotten popular and there are tons of makeup videos online already. At a Blog event I attended over the summer I met a few people who said they did tutorials on their channel. Maybe I’ll ask that Cosplayer to do something and load it onto my Piercing Ken Channel and get a whole fashion vibe going 😉
There wasn’t a chance to sit and focus on the items in a little closer detail so I apologize for that. When I chance upon more of the stuff I will try to remember for the next time. If you don’t have a Walgreens near your house your can click their website and find these products. As you can see in my provided images they are reasonably priced. I guess they are I mean, I don’t really have a need for makeup. My only forways into putting makeup on myself was as a young boy who owned the “KISS Your Face” makeup set and when I dressed as The Joker for a Halloween party with my band Machine. Closing up I have to say that I don’t know if this is a limited time only sort of thing so act fast just in case. Until next time.
