Greetings Friends and welcome back to another adventure. So at the time that you are reading this, if you opened up our website with the morning coffee that is, there are three events happening over at the Javits Center today. The New York Boat Show, The Travel & Adventure Show and AKC Meet The Breeds are all taking place concurrently and bringing their respective audiences into the mix.
While “The Chronicles” had been set up as attending media for the Boat Show and the “Meet The Breeds”, we were unable to get the credentials to explore the travel event and that was fine since those two shows were keeping me busy enough. However, a marketing associate I’ve known for years was working with the Japanese pavilion and had a guest pass for me to briefly explore and so I’m sharing a very limited batch of visuals. For me, content is king here on “The Chronicles” of Piercing Ken so I don’t mind putting stuff up. The funny thing was that my associate was too busy to even be in these few shots.
2023 marks the second go round of this particular show and I did attend back in 2022 but didn’t have the best of times exploring based on it being prior to the public days. Sure I love a good industry day but that time I found so little going on before the public arrived that it didn’t leave me with any sufficient shares.
While I did my brief wander, I did manage a hello with Blogger Damon Dominique who had just spoken about his new book and was signing copies for those who were interested in purchasing a copy.
They had a sizable Pride presence at the show and I remember that the New York Times Travel Show used to do the same before they sunset.

Sadly this is all I was able to share with you as like I said, I was not one of the working press at this one and only dropped in to see my colleague from Japan and the booths that he was working with. I had my hands full with the New York Boat Show and the Meet The Breeds and would be getting back to those two affairs to close out my weekend. Maybe I will try to be credentialed in 2024. It’s too early to determine my own interest at this time.
