The Coffee Art Project @ NY Coffee Festival 2018

coffee art project logo

Now that I’ve presented the wonderful vendors that we met at the New York Coffee Festival its time to shine the spotlight on something very special that is a part of it. This is called “The Coffee Art Project” and to make this simpler I’ve copied the exact text from their official website. After that we can scroll through the presentations for this years event and if you need more artist information or to purchase anything just hit the official website linked at the close.

“The Coffee Art Project is an exciting art competition linked to the theme of coffee and is one of our core fundraising initiatives. … All artists are invited to submit an original piece of artwork that represents a creative, unique and personal connection to the concept of ‘coffee’ or a ‘coffee shop experience.”

Sights From Brooklyn’s 149th Kings County Memorial Day Parade

Today is Memorial Day 2016 and just a short time ago my neighborhood of Bay Ridge was once again host to the King’s County Memorial Day Parade. This would be the 149th edition of this parade and it was initially kind of scary in terms if the weather above us. It rained a few hours ago but reports were that it would clear up around the time of the parade and lo and behold it did. Now it was time to honor those who’s service and sacrifice have helped keep this country safe and free. Once again this was to be an early starting parade, at 11am to be precise and would be led off by the Rolling Thunder motorcycle club. I grabbed my usual spot on the corner of 92nd Street and Third Avenue and snapped away for your own enjoyment for those who could not be here with us today based on no longer being in the neighborhood or with other commitments. As I’ve done in the past I will start off with the video of the Rolling Thunder and then get right into a whole lot of photographs. Please sit back, enjoy a coffee or something else to relax you and enjoy our presentation.

Happy Independence Day 2015

It’s Independence Day 2015 my friends and as per usual I am here once again with a few images that reflect a sense of pride in these United States and in the support of the red, white and blue American Flag. Let’s get right down to it. First up is a great and massive flag that waves over the streets of Newburgh, NY where I just visited some friends.

I have to apologize to my buddy who always has to deal with my sudden bursts of photographic mania when we are driving around in his region. I can only imagine how that can be. Sorry dude but its for good use as you see here 🙂
