Happy Saint Patrick’s Day My Readers :)

Hello my friends and “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day” to you all. I know that it’s weird to wish readers such a thing considering the growing concerns about this Coronavirus (aka Covid-19). As you well know by now, the annual Saint Patrick’s Day was cancelled in addition to large gatherings. With gatherings like concerts, conventions and parades being among the biggest draws of people, the view is by stopping them from happening, we will help slow the progression of this virus. Here’s to hoping right? This photo below comes from the nearby popular bar and restaurant, The Wicked Monk.

The recommended model around the cancellations and gathering bans advises that you stay at home as much as possible. I haven’t left my apartment outside of tossing the garbage downstairs since last Tuesday. I had a restaurant showcase convention to go to and one could feel the tension of the coming days even then. We’ve listed a number of postponed events here on “The Chronicles” and a whole lot more over on PiercingMetal.com. The new rules are changing a lot of things. For instance my usual practice for this annual celebratory wish is to showcase my plate or sandwich of corned beef and cabbage since its a tradition of mine. Sure I’d eat that stuff at any time but on Saint Patrick’s Day its an almost compelling drive. I’d be an improper foodie if I didn’t follow my instincts. So instead of an ice-cold Guinness and said CBAC, I am having a Tecate and a Coors Light beer accompanied by some leftover Chinese Food from HaHa Chinese Restaurant around the corner. Slainthe.

To close all of this up, I think its pretty safe to say that we haven’t seen anything yet in terms of restrictions and changes in the way we do things in the earnest hope that this Coronavirus gets stomped out. Be smart with yourself and follow the directives as closely as possible because we are all at risk. Stay healthy my friends and will raise a glass to something worth celebrating eventually.
