Hello again my friends and kind readers of “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”, I’m back once more to continue along with the findings from last weeks adventure at the Toy Insider “Spring Fling” Toy Preview for 2024. It was held at the Lavan Midtown event space and brought together the industry, the influencers and the media (queue dramatic music). I’m no stranger to posting about The Toy Insider events at this point and always try to deliver the content in an engaging fashion. With this being my last of the exploring posts, it will have a little bit of everything so let’s begin with products we saw while walking around. I’ll begin with these cool Alphablocks, and the staff at this booth were giving away this cool plushie block.

These items were from “Toss In Tens” and it reminded me a little bit of skeeball and in some sense cornhole. Great stuff if you have a little backyard space or a very expansive family room with nothing breakable around you.

These are some items from Nightbuddies and they were adorable. I just love the smaller plushie items that I see the kids hanging on their school bags but these are aimed at the nighttime and likely the young one that is still a little afraid of the dark. I will admit that I didn’t like it all that much myself when I was a wee lad but in time I loved it.

The ZhuZhu Aquarium was quite the charming product and should prove to be a lot of fun. I am unaware if this is suitable for bath time so do check that out first before trying it.

I also enjoyed seeing how cute the Littlest Pet Shop was. You seem to get a lot of little figures in this set. More is always good for playtime.

There were miniature Super Soakers from Nerf which is also from Hasbro.

That’s all I have from the general walking around but here are a couple of addition succinct focuses with Stumble Guys and Toy Monster.

The “Stumble Guys” come care of PMI Toys and they have a lot of fun blind bag items for collectors to enjoy.

I’m a fan of smaller figures like these ones but the SG license is for a bit more of a younger skew so I let those folks snap these up when they see them.

The PMI Booth had a fun “catch the cash” booth and you went in there and tried to catch the “money” that was inside the booth. It’s not as easy as it might seem and this was not real money. Those that managed to catch something were able to exchange it for a prize.

Now onto some coolness from the Toy Monster table.

Toy Monster is responsible for the Fugglers and they are so awesome and quirky fun. I’m a Metal guy as many of you know so I love monsters and the weirder the better for me when it comes to things like this.

Toy Monster was premiering their “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Fugglers at the Spring Fling. As a longtime TMNT fan, I’d probably want a set of these but would prefer they be a tad smaller. Just my own collecting vibe at this point.

They also have a lot of cool “Jurassic World” things, like these containers with goo and a dinosaur trinket of some kind.

Curating the table was their own resident Mad Scientist…

Before I wrap this one up I want to give some kudos for the always tasty treats that the Toy Insider team makes sure to have on hand for their attendees. I have been to far too many events where there is either no food or snacks or they are reserved for Exhibitors or even Influencers only. Everything here was finger foods and I wanted to share some visuals with you all. Thanks for the treats Insider.

This will wrap up the overall exploration that I did but I will have a few videos to share with you as well and also the reveal of the goodie bag takeaways. This event was a first time thing and unlike the Toy Insider happenings of the past you were not being handed a bag but instead hoped to secure a few items to speak about going forward. I always love doing a video like that for you because it adds to the content base and hopefully even sends you out to Amazon or elsewhere to order stuff. While I am not sure if this is a one and done sort of event I am glad that it happened since there was no Toy Fair in February like their used to be. That massive event returns in 2025 and while its too early to determine, I will surely be putting in for it. As far as Toy Insider events go, I will hopefully be a part of their awesome “Sweet Suite” and “Holiday of Play” happenings when those roll around.
