Molly Pope @ Greenwich House

Part of the “Uncharted” Music Series taking place at the Greenwich House Music School. Renowned cabarettist Molly Pope presents the New York premiere of her first completely original solo piece, Polly Mope. Currently a work-in-progress, Polly Mope marks a bold new direction for Pope as she embarks on writing her own songs and departs from free-form banter to a fully-scripted book. Asking the eternal question, “How do you get through the night?”, the piece wields a double-edged sword of self-awareness that splits the psyche in two with comic and tragic results. Straddling the universal and the intensely personal, Pope runs headlong into a late-night manic-depressive obstacle course to figure out just who wins when it’s Me vs Me. Includes free beer.
