Currently a work-in-progress, Polly Mope marks a bold new direction for Pope as she embarks on writing her own songs and departs from free-form banter to a fully-scripted book. Asking the eternal question, “How do you get through the night?”, the piece wields a double-edged sword of self-awareness that splits the psyche in two with comic and tragic results. Straddling the universal and the intensely personal, Pope runs headlong into a late-night manic-depressive obstacle course to figure out just who wins when it’s Me vs Me. Includes free beer.
