Today: BroadwayCon 2023 Begins @ New York Marriott Marquis

Hey Friends, I’m just taking a moment out of the day to let you know that the BroadwayCon for 2023 is beginning today and I’m just about ready to head out to it. Historically speaking I usually try to attend for two of its three days because there is a lot to do in these summer months and the content doesn’t create itself. I like this convention and have been going to it since around 2018 I think. It’s a lot of fun and can best be viewed as the comic convention for theatre geeks. There are panels, professional Broadway actors, a massive Marketplace with things all theatre in scope and lots of cosplay with fans dressed as characters from their favorite plays. My plan is to snap a lot of photos of these cosplayers and maybe even do some interviews since those can be fun. Now I have to apologize for not having a graphic of my press badge but they don’t send this to you in advance and instead I will secure mine when I arrive at the hotel where they are hosting the convention. That’s the New York Marriott Marquis in case you didn’t know. I do like showing off the press badge and lining out the plans but this time I am just going to go in and have fun and get as much as I can in the time that I am wandering the rooms.

The Chronicles of Piercing Ken Is On Threads from Instagram

So I’ve actually just talked about this over on the PiercingMetal website (seen HERE) and since “The Chronicles” also has a very busy existence in the social media space I figured a post over on this side of the creative fence was in order. Now in case you haven’t heard this news yet, it seems that the folks at Meta, which is the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have determined that we need yet another social media application to use and have announced the launch of “Threads from Instagram”. This seems to be the Meta response to Twitter and I imagine can be used in the same fashion. The account for “The Chronicles” got created right from my current Instagram profile and uses the same exact handle. The only downside for me is that I wasn’t able to do this as Ken Pierce Media because lately I am making any new networks to be the editorial overseer presence as opposed to either side of the coin. It’s worked for things like TikTok very well so why not continue the trend. My first post to Threads is below and as I mentioned on the other post, one cannot embed these items.
