Hello once again my caffeine loving friends, its nice to see you here once more. Now some of you might remember my coverage of the 2025 CoffeeFest which took over a section of the Javits Center back in March. We were excited to return to the trade show of course and stoked to be doing so in a professional capacity as a member of the media. If you didn’t see that coverage you can just click HERE to open up a new browser tab with everything to refresh your memory and now onto the topic at hand. During that exploration I did a number of exhibitor interviews for our Official YouTube Channel but we had so many events with so many videos that those clips are only just premiering now. The videos “live” on our Channel of course but have also been batched together for inclusion on the website for greater reach. The first stop would be the awesome farmers from Finca La Fortuna.

The Statement: The ADAA will pause The Art Show in 2025 as part of a strategic effort to advance its mission and strengthen its national impact. We look forward to reintroducing the fair in 2026 with a renewed vision that continues its legacy of excellence, curation, impact and cultural engagement.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: This news makes me sad and I must admit that its a selfish notion since I had only just attended “The Art Show” for the very first time last year. I don’t think that I had ever visited the Park Avenue Armory before and found that fascinating on its own. As far as the art was concerned I liked the works that I saw and the dealers that I spoke to but at the end of the day I was only able to get a video conversation with one gallerist. Everyone else seemed to be camera shy. That was different for me since I get more than a dozen per fair when I drop in to the Affordable Art Fair or the Artexpo New York. The sadder part of this cancellation is the effect that it will likely have on the folks over at the Henry Street Settlement. According to what I’ve read, The Art Show has been a big donation factor for their causes. I do hope that they successfully figure out what they want to do with this art show because I’d love to check it out again. There are already signs that there is no NYC Volta or a second Subjective Art Festival happening this year and that’s a shame as well. What do you art loving readers think about this news if you’ve ever attended The Art Show. Chime in down below in the comments and I will see you next time.

Interviews from BroadwayCon 2025: Part Three

convention logos, broadwaycon, broadwaycon logo

As previously noted, it was back in February that “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was on point for the fun-filled BroadwayCon. Though many of my photos and Instagram posts have long been live, my videos took a backseat for a time based on the massive backlog. These videos are now premiering on the Official YouTube for Piercing Ken and here in some posts on the website. Our interview installments end with our third chapter and a brief chat with author Ron Fassler.
