Happy Pride Day 2018!

According to the numerous posts I am seeing on Facebook and watching on NY1, today is “Pride Day” and with that being the case we wanted to wish all of our readers that might be celebrating this a very happy and incident free day.

For those who didn’t know this, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is currently celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. Here in the USA, the last Sunday in June is generally celebrated as “Gay Pride Day,” but I’ve read that the actual day is flexible. As an entertainment scribe, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet people from all walks of life and of creed, color and preference. They all make my world and work that much more interesting. Enjoy your day and again be safe 🙂

PiercingMetal Went To Five Points Festival 2018 @ Brooklyn Expo Center

Readers of “The Chronicles” and of course the PiercingMetal.com website know that we go to a LOT of different conventions to bring you exciting and colorful visuals that hopefully spark some visiting of these events on your end. Now its time to share another adventure that was done for the PiercingMetal side of the fence with the 2nd Annual Five Points Festival that took place at the Brooklyn Expo Center this year. Clicking the banner down below will transport you to the coverage of the Saturday of that event.

This was a busy week right into the weekend with the Book Expo taking place as May ended and this event rolling in and being held at the same time as the Book Con. Overall I would end up doing three days of the Expo and one of FPF and one Book Con. So as usual with my signpost redirects to the other website, the means to comment on this missive has been disabled. I feel that its better for those interested to comment on the full posts that inspire them to do so on them directly. It matters more at the end of the day. Thanks for reading this website, its my hope that we keep you entertained.

Greece Announced as Partner Country at 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show

If you’ve been following the adventures over on this website, you might recall that I attended the Summer Fancy Food Show last year for the very first time. It was a terrific experience and my findings can be perused on our posts that you will find HERE. At the end of June, “The Chronicles” will be on point once more and that leads me to share some amazing news about Greece being announced as the partner country at this years show. Now, we aren’t Greeks over here but we do love the visuals that have been seen from the country and their incredible foods. Let’s take a look at the full press release about this.

The Press Release:
The Specialty Food Association announced today that Greece will be their partner country for this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, the largest marketplace for specialty food in North America, taking place June 30 – July 2 in New York City. Enterprise Greece is organizing the participation of Greece at the Show.

“We’re excited to have Greece as our partner country for the 2018 Summer Fancy Food Show,” said Phil Kafarakis, president, Specialty Food Association. “With the continued popularity of the Mediterranean diet and its health benefits, this is a great time to focus on Greek foods. The influence of Greek ingredients in the American diet and on American shelves is a great example of the expansion of specialty food in the U.S.”
