Mayor Bill de Blasio, music industry legend Clive Davis, and Live Nation and NYCEDC chair Danny Meyer today announced the all-star lineup set to perform at the “WE LOVE NYC: The Homecoming Concert produced by New York City, Clive Davis and Live Nation” on the Great Lawn in Central Park on Saturday, August 21.

This historic, once-in-a-generation concert, presented by Anheuser-Busch, Citi® and Expedia®, in Central Park will feature an array of music icons and contemporary artists spanning musical and entertainment genres including: Jon Batiste, Andrea Bocelli, Kane Brown, LL COOL J, Elvis Costello, Lucky Daye, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Cynthia Erivo, Jimmy Fallon, Jennifer Hudson, Wyclef Jean, Journey, The Killers, Gayle King, Don Lemon, Maluma, Barry Manilow, The New York Philharmonic, Polo G, Carlos Santana, Paul Simon, Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Rob Thomas

Pollstar Reveals The 2018 Top National and Worldwide Tours

In the constant effort to bring you a wide variety of interesting announcements, here are the tallies from the popular Pollstar service when it comes to touring and artists that dominated over the course of the 2018 year. I’m going to chime in down at the end with some additional editorial for those who wonder what I think about the matter.

Pollstar’s rankings, which are based on data that is reported to Pollstar, are an important marketing tool for agents and venues, and talent buyers and others depend on box office histories to make informed business choices.

Pollstar received, inputted and verified more than 44,000 records, including a record-setting total gross reported of more than $10.4 billion, and 152.1 million tickets sold this year.

Pollstar’s Top 100 Worldwide Tours totaled $5.6 billion U.S. dollars with 59.8 million tickets sold compiled from 3,691 event records.

“And The Winner Is” – Complete 2018 Tony Award Winners

Last night the 72nd Annual Tony Awards were broadcast from NYC’s own Radio City Music Hall. Let’s take a look at the sum total winners list as culled from a few different entertainment websites. Of the biggest winners of last nights awards were “The Band’s Visit” that took home “10” Tony’s while “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” went home with “6” of the awards. The show was hosted by both Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles who talked and performed to the delight of the audience watching at home and in person.

“The Boss” is on Broadway. Fans don’t want to miss the legendary performers first-ever residency show which has now been extended to maximize attendance. Here Bruce will discuss his life and personal stories with guitar and piano. This second extension of performances will hopefully find all the diehards getting a chance to see him in this intimate setting.
