Having already discussed the legacy and milestone status of the Broadway show “Wicked” in one of the previously posted trailer narratives I don’t have much more to add to the mix other that ask how excited is everyone for the opening of the film today. The advance reviews have been positive which is always a good sign and I know a lot of people that are anxious to enjoy its magic on the big screen. Down below I’ve shared the Official Release poster and if you didn’t see the Official Trailer or the Official Trailer 2 then just click the hyperlinked text to see those as that is why we post them. As expected, I’ve also added some casting and light premise. Check it out.

Before I get into the sharing of the second trailer from the soon to premiere “Wicked” film I wanted to share something that I found rather interesting. Now while this bit of information is older than a year by the time of this posting, back in April 2023 it was shared that the “Wicked” Broadway musical had been seen by about 65 million people. Since the show’s attendance numbers on Wikipedia say more than 8.1K performances, those numbers have gotten closer to the mark by this time. That’s pretty damn awesome and speaking of awesome here is the second trailer.

The trend of Broadway shows becoming feature films isn’t something new as we’ve seen with movies for “Rent”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Hair” and so many more that were based om their original Broadway performances. In many cases I think this is rather cool since let’s face it, Broadway shows are rather expensive and not everyone from around the world can attend a performance. The latest hit to move to the big screen is “Wicked”, a truly magical story about the times before “The Wizard of Oz” film and the early lives of Galinda and Elphaba. There is a truly star-studded cast in this one and I’ve shared the first trailer down below along with the premise, casting and some artwork. Take a look.
