Greetings my good friends, I’m back to present you with my findings from the Toy Association’s Toy Fair once again. The trade show itself ended about two weeks ago and while having attended for the PiercingMetal side of the fence, I found myself securing a number of images and vendors to add several posts here on “The Chronicles”. I’m now up to the Spin Master booth because they had a number of items that fit this sides demographic. Here we go.

Given the scope of the offerings and my own limited background on a number of them I will keep the extended narrative light and just let you enjoy. Plus I need the break since I am also doing posts over on PiercingMetal as well. Those posts began even earlier than the ones that I am sharing here but I digress.

The Unicorn Academy is a charming line of unicorn themed figures, unicorns and playsets. It’s based on a popular Netflix animated series. They were all so charming.

Ignore the signs, we were permitted to snap these items since they were running long after the show.

That’s all I’ve secured from the Unicorn Academy but I continue along with a super cute property from the Gund side of things. Spin Master now owns the Gund brand and these plush items are wonderful.

Gudetama is the “lazy egg” and they had so many varieties of scenarios for him it was hard to resist sharing along with you out there in the readership. Which ones are your favorite?

My faves were his holding the jalapeno pepper, being in a Ramen cup and the traditional one of his just laying on the white of the egg. Now onto the Hexbots.

Longtime readers of our Toy Fair posts might remember the Hexbugs which was one of the very first products that caught our attention at the first or second time that I attended the event. My memory is cloudy since I am referring back to 2011 or 2012. Spin Master acquired the company and rebranded them as Hexbots. Let’s take a look.

As you can see by the images, Spin Master has put their own dare I say “spin” on the former Hexbugs and even created some exciting new playsets. My hope is that some of the designs I saw in earlier incarnations make their way into the future releases.

That’s going to bring me to the end of this installment but don’t you worry as I still have an additional post of Spin Master stuff and then beyond. I tend to do a lot at an event like this and its aimed at entertaining and informing you. I’ll be back tomorrow with the second installment for Spin Master and after that is anyone’s guess. Perhaps I will add another special feature since I know I have a couple more of those in my folders.
