Hello again my friends and we are BACK with another exciting installment from the Toy Insider’s 2017 “Sweet Suite” event. This is the second chapter in, gosh I don’t know how many I am going to have so let’s just say “a lot”. If you’ve missed the first narrative, please click HERE as that will open up the tags for this event alone and help you enjoy what you might not have seen. I’ll be chiming in here and there but not everywhere so you can enjoy this stuff on your own. Here we go with some K’Nex.

Sights and Scenes From The Toy Insider “Sweet Suite” 2017: Part 1

As a creative who’s been covering the American International Toy Fair since 2011, I must admit that it’s been a blast to expand the event narratives right here on “The Chronicles Of PiercingKen”. I decided to do that in addition to what goes up on PiercingMetal.com but this is about another event entirely for you see back back in 2016, I was fortunate enough to meet the kind folks at The Toy Insider

It was great to add this happening to my series of toy related narratives and while last years event was on a luxury yacht, this years showcase was down in the Chelsea Piers which according to Skeleton Pete has happened there a few times before. Giving this an overlook as we walked in to set up, it felt like this would be a better way to absorb the items being showcased since it was all on one level. With the yacht, you were on three floors and there was a chance to miss something by accident. One never wants to miss anything at an event like this when it comes to toys.

The Sweet Suite 2017 Looks Promising

Last summer, I attended my very first “Sweet Suite” event which is an interesting gathering of companies, Internet influencers and the media. I posted several narratives with lots of images that can be reviewed via THIS LINK. The poster above was a part of a reminder email that I received the day before yesterday to make sure that I had it on my calendar and knew all the specs and what was to be expected in terms of finds this year. My plan for this years event is to come back with even more pictures to generate even more posts for your viewing pleasure. With the holidays coming steadily for us, it will be great ammunition if you like shopping early. I’ll close up now with a reminder to keep an eye on our Official Instagram as well for any of the side moments that are snapped and shared immediately to that social network. All of the coverage for the 2017 Sweet Suite will be posted on “The Chronicles”. Thank you for your kind attention.

Checking Out The Burger King “Classic Grilled Dogs”

Yesterday was the Fourth of July and oddly enough I had not known of a single BBQ being held by any of my friends that didn’t require some lengthy traveling to participate in. I’ll admit that it didn’t bother me all too much but the pang in my inner core was craving a good old hot dog since its one of the days main dining fare’s after all so now what to do. I decided to do a quick walk of my area and as I passed the nearby Burger King franchise I noticed a sign for their grilled dogs and that for a limited time they were only $.79 – Since I had wanted to try these for Foodspotting purposes, it worked out perfectly. Below are the two dogs that I snagged.

Of the two variations that they sell here, “The Classic Grilled Dog” was the one on sale and this consists of a grilled beef hot dog in a bun topped with ketchup, mustard, relish, and chopped onions. Onions that are raw and chopped really get to my stomach these days so I avoid them at all costs which left me only with the relish. I don’t normally like ketchup on my hot dogs but for this “taste test” I left it alone to get as close to the full experience that I could. By the way this offering is normally priced at $1.99 each. So how are they? Well, to be honest they are just okay at best but they did serve the quick hunger pang and need for a hot dog type dish for the day. They reminded me of the Ballpark franks more than an Oscar Meyer brand or a Sabrett hot dog when it came down to it and the amount of relish and other condiments was not overpowering. As a quick nosh I give this an a-okay but would surely prefer a Nathans Famous hot dog to this one if I had the choice. I’m not sure I would pay $2 for a single one and hope that BK decides to keep this sort of pricing going forward to keep moving product. Since this is a burger joint, there are NOT a lot of people coming in looking for hot dogs.

It’s fun to share stuff like this with you on occasion and I’ll try to get similar stuff online to make our Food and Drink area a lot more populated. Sadly, I missed out on the “Whopperito” but the idea of a Whopper sandwich being served up as a burrito didn’t seem too appetizing to me. Closing up remember to do some exercise after offerings like this since they can tack on the pounds if you are not careful. Until next time.

“Happy Independence Day” 2017 America!!!

Hey there readers, it’s Independence Day once again and for those keeping count that means we have been doing this sort of holiday for 241 years since our Country was founded in 1776. That’s still pretty young when compared to some of the other nations of the world but that’s fine by me as I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. As I’ve done over the years, when a holiday rolls around I try to secure some topical images and share them with you all. Here are a couple of those images in celebration of our nations birth. My first image is actually of the small flag that hangs on the inside door of my apartment. Believe it or not I found this lying in the street some years ago after a parade and I couldn’t let that be the case so I picked it up, washed it off and gave it a good press. Now it hangs proud in the Creative Command HQ for The Chronicles.

These next two images are from my wanderings in my beautiful Bay Ridge neighborhood. This house often sets up a nice display but I’ve never seen the residents to thank them for always upping the decorating game for the area.
