Greetings my friends and welcome once again to the last day of the year and one of my very favorite posts to do at this time. For a number of years, “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” has been lining out the complete episode rundown of “The Honeymooners” marathon that will be broadcast starting tomorrow on New Year’s Day at 12:30AM on WPIX Channel 11. If you’ve followed along with the website over the last few years you already know that this has become a bit of a tradition for me to do. I began running this in 2020 and at that time it actually began before the ball dropped but in the most recent years it has started after the network finished its own end of year celebration. As a comedy series, “The Honeymooners” has withstood the tests of time and still remains as funny as it ever was. Historically speaking the network began doing this sort of thing in 1996 and my family and I would always enjoy as much of it as we could watch on the holidays at the actual broadcast times while others opted to record on VHS Tape. You in the younger generation might not recall that this was the only method of catching shows that aired while you were asleep. Once again I used a pair of resources to cull this scheduling and that’s the Official PIX website AND the Spectrum Channel Guide and I was happy to find that they were totally in sync. The marathon will first run from 12:20AM to 4AM and then pause for local news programming. I’m still unsure why we need three hours of local news at that hour as opposed to one but I am not in the producer’s chair here. Trust me when I say that absolutely no one is interested in the local news over seeing additional episodes of “The Honeymooners”. While I’ve never attempted a live viewing from beginning to end I can say with some level of certainty that these three news hours would be when I chose to power nap before waking up to tackle more of the marathon. Since I always fall asleep around the time this begins I am relying on my DVR to enjoy this years go round.

Nowadays, it seems like people are doing less of the partying and would prefer spending the time in close quarters with their loved ones and the Kramdens and the Nortons. I really appreciate the fact that PIX11 does this marathon every year but I wish that every once in awhile that they would bring us closer to seeing all of the classic “39” episodes. We are getting “27” in this years marathon which is great but if they lessened their celebrating programming and cut the news down to one hour it would be even better. Here’s the rundown of episodes.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I don’t really have too much to add to the mix after all of the stuff I lined out up above and at the time that you are reading this I can confirm that I’ve already programmed my own DVR with the episodes. I will likely be watching the “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve” for the last few minutes before the ball drop and then hit the sack. I don’t know about the rest of you but I feel that it might even be cool to share the lost episodes every few years. Just to share something different that many people might not have had the chance to be exposed to. Before I wrap up, please remember that the listings were sourced from the network site and the local cable network sources so if there are any changes that come to pass, you should not be yelling at me about this in the comments since once I press publish I am done with this part of the puzzle. If you are still considering some wild revelry out in the wild please watch out for yourself and those who are with you. I always refer to New Year’s Eve as amateur night and I’m not wrong since it seems to attract the folks that never go out and they end up partying a bit too much. We don’t want anyone in our sphere to be compromised. Soapbox over. Before I wrap this up let me ask you chime in down in the comments and let me know what some of your favorite episodes are and why. That will make the post even more awesome and maybe no more than five of your very favorites of them all. Thanks as always for joining us here on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken”. It’s been a productive 2025 and I think 2026 will be even better.
Shameless Plug: The SyFy Network is once again running their lengthy marathon of “The Twilight Zone” episodes and that will begin at 5:00AM on 12/31. I shared the rundown of those episodes on the PiercingMetal website so check out the listings by clicking HERE. I figured I’d tell you that now in case you felt like programming the episodes since there are so many even though this marathon began a few hours ago.
