The Javits Center was a busy place recently with the AKC “Meet The Breeds” taking over the downstairs section while the New York Boat Show was up top on the right side of the expo floor and last but certainly not least – The Travel & Adventure Show had returned for their fourth annual happening. My last time taking a look around this one was in 2023 but that was as a guest of an exhibitor I knew. This time around I was hoping to do the exploring with a more professional vibe.

Generally speaking, I set up my own accesses to these events well in advance but this time around I was so consumed with life in general and being media for the other two happenings that I wasn’t sure I would even be able to set aside some exploring time, but when I had a breather I walked over to the press office to express interest in a brief walkthrough.

The New York Japan Cinefest Reveals 10th Anniversary Program

The Press Release:
A film festival that introduces Japanese-themed short films, New York Japan CineFest, is having its 10th anniversary this year from November 17th to November 21st online only. Hosted by Mar Creations with the partners, CYBER New York, Japan Information and Culture Center (Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C.), Short Short Film Festival, Sapporo International Short Film Festival, Aichi International Women’s Film Festival, and Kadoma International Film Festival.

We decided to go online for our screening again this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we also are celebrating our 10th anniversary with 14 new short films and 6 of the best short films from the past events between 2012 to 2020 out of 120 films. We have films from the Philippines, Canada, Germany, Spain, the United States, and Japan.
