Interviews from BroadwayCon 2025: Part Two

As previously noted, it was back in February that “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was on point for the fun-filled BroadwayCon. Though many of my photos and Instagram posts have long been live, my videos took a backseat for a time based on a massive backlog of clips to get online. These videos are now premiering on the Official YouTube for Piercing Ken and also being shared here in some posts on the website. This installment continues the fun with a brief chat with the sultry and suspicious, Lucy Morals from Carmine’s interactive dinner theater “Speakeasy, Die Softly”.

BroadwayCon 2025 Special Feature: Opening Fanfare and “First Look”

Back in February, “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was once again on point for the always fun-filled BroadwayCon. This is an event that I’ve likened to being much like a comic convention but one that is entirely theatrical in tone. While many of my photos and Instagram posts have long been live, my videos took a backseat for a time based on the massive backlog I was dealing with as a creator. Now its time to let those clips shine on the Official YouTube for Piercing Ken and here in some posts on the website. First up, the opening discussion with show creator Melissa Anelli and the event host, Miss Melanie Sutrathada. Enjoy.

Scenes From BroadwayCon 2025: Part One

Recently, “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was on point as attending press for the annual BroadwayCon, which had returned to the winter months and while originally schedule for the New York Hilton Midtown, would instead be happening at the New York Marriott Marquis right smack dab in Times Square. I’ve been attending this one since 2018 and always have managed to have a good time.

The conventions co-founder, Melissa Anelli, leads the teams of Mischief Management and came out first as a part of the opening ceremony. We sadly learned from her that their usual host Ben Cameron would not be participating in the show which was a bit of a bummer since Ben is so fun and very engaging with the fans across all three days.

Marketplace Interviews and More from BroadwayCon 2024 @ New York Hilton Midtown

The Chronicles of Piercing Ken was in attendance at the annual BroadwayCon this past July and during the course of the exploration a number of video interviews were done for our Official YouTube Channel. The convention had returned to the New York Hilton Midtown where it had been held for a number of years and to start this collected feature here is some of the always fun opening ceremony with their host Ben Cameron. After this I headed over to the Marketplace and spoke to both “Little Shop Of Plushies” and “Broadway Up Close”.

BroadwayCon Announces Location and Dates for 2023 Event

The Press Release:
BroadwayCon, the premier fan convention for all things Broadway and theatre, makes its triumphant debut in Times Square at the New York Marriott Marquis on Friday, July 21 through Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Pre-sale tickets will be available for BroadwayCon 2021 and 2022 attendees at 1 PM ET on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Tickets go on sale to the public at 1 PM ET on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Since 2016, BroadwayCon has been the premiere fan convention for all things Broadway. Highlights from previous years include show spotlights with the casts of A Strange Loop (2022), POTUS (2022), SIX (2020, 2022), Hamilton (2016, 2017), Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (2019), Mean Girls (2019), and Dear Evan Hansen (2017), reunions with the original casts of RENT (2016), and In The Heights (2018), performances by Sara Bareilles (2016, Waitress), Jenn Colella (2016, Come From Away), Christy Altomere (2017, Anastasia), appearances by Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton (2022), Lin-Manuel Miranda (2017) and Kristin Chenoweth (2019), and so much more.
