ReedPOP Announces The “Metaverse” Virtual Convention

Since our audience here on “The Chronicles” is often much different from the friends we have over on PiercingMetal.com, I wanted to take a moment and share one of the convention announcements that just posted on that side of the creative coin. The fine folks over at ReedPOP have just unveiled the details about “The Metaverse” which is a virtual convention. You can learn more by clicking HERE. It will launch a new window to PiercingMetal.com for you to peruse the scoop. We’ve still no word from their team regarding the fate of the popular New York Comic Con but one has to surmise that under the current climate that it cannot take place at all.

BookConline 2020 Reveals Final Schedule Of Virtual Events

The other day I helped share a healthy amount of the schedule of the now in progress, first-ever BookExpo Online. As you all know by now, a gathering of this size in an event space like the Javits Center is impossible based on the continuing problems with the Coronavirus Pandemic. Both the traditional BookExpo and The Book Con were cancelled as physical happenings and turned into online affairs. HERE

Following in similar fashion, the weekend will find the aptly named BookConline being presented on their Official Facebook Page and I’ve embedded the full schedule that the media was sent for your consumption. Since its the weekend and you’re still not really supposed to do anything, get up nice and early with a fresh pot of coffee and sit in front of Facebook. It’s not like you weren’t going to do a lot of that anyway – At least with BookConline you can learn a thing of three.

More about that can be found HERE for those who like to be fully informed. With the event going virtual for the year, we’ve just received the schedule for the three days and the links on how you might participate. Take a look.

The Press Release:
To our BookExpo, UnBound & BookCon community,

Due to the escalation of COVID-19 globally, Reed Exhibitions has today announced that the next edition of BookExpo, UnBound and BookCon will now take place in the spring of 2021.

Initially, we were optimistic that our events could run in late July. However, as the pandemic has continued to escalate in the United States and we see the challenges it has brought for the book industry, it is clear that 2020 is no longer a viable option for this community.
