This year?s program features an extensive series of daily activities for attendees, that includes the Spotlight Program, a focused look at several cutting-edge galleries and artists chosen by the Redwood Art Group selection committee; Art Labs, a series of outstanding projects by leading galleries, art institutions, and art collectives within the fair; Meet The Artists and Live Demonstrations, presenting an interactive experience?allowing attendees to get up-close-and-personal with the artists; and Art Talks, conversations with today?s most influential pioneers from the arts industry on a variety of topical themes and subject matter.

?We?re delighted to announce our exciting programming schedule for this year?s Artexpo New York,? says Eric Smith, President and CEO of Redwood Media Group. ?The fair features some of the most prominent leaders in the industry, from established and emerging artists to fine art photographers, gallery owners, art dealers, publishers, collectors and consultants. This year?s lineup of exhibitors and industy experts offers something for everyone, whether you?re new to the market or a seasoned professional interested in discovering the latest trends.?

Hosting more than 20,000 avid art enthusiasts, including 5,000+ trade representatives every year, Artexpo New York is the largest international gathering of qualified trade buyers?including gallery owners and managers, art dealers, interior designers, publishers, architects, corporate art buyers, and art and framing retailers. Attendees will have an opportunity to browse thousands of innovative new works of art and enjoy specific programming. [SOLO] offers established and emerging independent artists the opportunity to showcase their work on an international stage, as the ultimate venue for independent artists to be discovered. The Opening Night VIP Preview for Artexpo New York takes place on Thursday, March 30, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00pm. The fair continues for the public and trade on Friday, March 31, through Sunday, April 2, from 11:00am, with advance tickets priced at $30 for daily general admission.

Since its launch in 2016, the Spotlight Program has continued to be a highlight of Artexpo New York?s programming and events. This year?s recipients are bringing their cutting-edge talent to the forefront of the art world. The six Spotlight Program recipients for 2023, include Artur Gelumbauskas (Booth 503), D?Arcy Bellamy (Booth 600), Galerie Minrath (Booth 701), Jael Roznicki (Booth S101), Lilac Gallery (Booth S701) and Valentinarte Gallery (Booth S809).

The compelling subjects and themes for Art Talks are developed each year by the Artexpo New York selection committee, featuring some of today?s most prominent leaders from the arts business world, and often end with an interactive audience Q&A to tackle personal challenges and industry perceptions. Art Talks are open to all attendees and will take place daily on the upper Mezzanine level. Topical conversations for the Art Talks 2023 series include ?Turning Textiles in to Art,? ?Origins of Inspiration,? ?Being The Spark,? ?The Story Behind The Lost Warhols,? and ?Two Dynamic Artists? with Dean Pagano and Tysen Knight.

This year?s Art Labs features a series of outstanding projects by leading galleries, art institutions, and art collectives presented on-site within the fair, and include: ?United For Ukrainian Kids? by United Kids (Booth 1), ?Jason Perez Art Collective? by Jason Perez (Mezzanine level)), ?For The Children of Ukraine? by Sammoun Fine Art (Booth 215) and ?Who Said It Was A Straight Line? by K-Art Projects (Booth 109). The Artexpo New York Discoveries Collection presents a selection of unique discoveries from this year?s artists and exhibitors, selected by the Artexpo New York Curatorial Team as its favorite pieces of art?each one priced at $1,000 and $3,000 or less.

A new addition has been made to the fair?s programming for 2023. ?The Visionaries? collection is selected by Artexpo’s curatorial team, based on a gallery?s representation in three areas: artist innovators – consistently bringing forward-thinking cutting-edge art to the fair; articulate and distinctive presentation of each artist’s work – exceeding all display guidelines, and finally, consistent exhibition at Artexpo New York over a period of three or more years. This year?s Visionaries are Art Love Gallery (Booth 207), Artavita / World Wide Art (Booth 107), K-Art Projects (Booth 109), Mecenavie Gallery (Booth 305), Sarona Gallery / A&E Fine Art (Booth 307), and The Gallery Steiner (Booth 300).

K-Art Projects USA, Booth 109
The next unique work by artist and designer Andre Croteau for his African Spirit Series, ?Who Said it was a Straight Line?? is a pop art-inspired metaphor for the complex, multicultural colonization of Africa. The overall impression of the piece is that of a colorful, pop art-inspired textile mural, reminiscent of the monumental installations within New York?s JFK American Airlines terminal. At the heart of the piece is a symbolic mixing of European and African cultures, reflected through the integration of more-elegant, typically-European evening fabrics with the more-traditional everyday pattern work worn by many African cultures. The result is a new and pleasing graphic aesthetic that celebrates the diverse (albeit sometimes tumultuous) cultural process that is Africa.

4?8 p.m. ART LAB: DISCOVERIES COLLECTION

Look for the Discoveries Collection labels throughout the show. Artexpo’s Curatorial Team has selected a group of their favorite discoveries?each one a great option at $1,000 and $3,000 or less.
