The tenth-annual BroadwayCon will now be on Broadway between 45th and 46th streets in the heart of New York’s famed theatre district. All tickets previously bought for BroadwayCon are valid and will be honored! Our new venue is just a few blocks down the street from the previous venue.
WILL THIS CHANGE THE SCHEDULE?
Not really! There may be a few shifts in locations but everything will be updated in our schedule page and on our app. All presenters will be emailed with details.?
I HAD RESERVED HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS. DO I NEED TO CANCEL AND REBOOK?
You are welcome to keep or cancel your hotel accommodations at the New York Hilton Midtown if you so desire. The Hilton Midtown will refund deposits for cancellations made 72 hours prior to the first day of your reservation. For example, if your reservation starts on Friday, February 7, you should plan to cancel prior to Tuesday, February 4. Please note that the New York Hilton Midtown will not automatically cancel your reservation. You must do this yourself.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: This does come as a surprise to me with so little time between the announcement and the actual event happening. While the organizers didn’t specify the reasons for such a dramatic and last minute change, in the concert realm, a venue change is often based on ticket sales but I don’t have any deeper insight to this being the case and to be brutally honest, the NYMM is also a large-scale hotel. I hope for the well-being of the vendors room because I remember that when the convention was at this location the last time that many felt they were too far away from the action and sales suffered as a result. The Marriott Marquis will leave attendees right smack dab in the heart of Times Square so do be cautious. It still remains easy to access via Mass Transit. I only have to get off on 49th Street and walk a couple of blocks as opposed to getting off at 7th Avenue and walking a few blocks. While I submitted my media interest some months ago I have not yet been cleared at the time of this venue change update announcement so maybe this time around is not meant to be. If I do attend you can count on the typical social media stuff and any video interviews that I am able to muster up. What do you think about this change in venue news?
