Eating It All @ Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Continuing along with some of the restaurants my family and I visited during my first trip down to their new location of Myrtle Beach, SC, I am up to the Rioz Brazilian Steakhouse. This was something that my Father had wanted to try more than Mom did but I am surely not going to argue with being carnivorous.

Historically speaking, I have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse and while I’ve visited BBQ spots over the years this was something entirely different. We ordered a drink, a Mojito, which was made right in front of us from a little wagon of ingredients. It was cool and the drink super tasty, and very strong. You didn’t want to have more than one of these if you were driving anywhere soon that’s for sure.

Quick Eats @ Liberty Tap Room (Myrtle Beach, SC)

As a number of posts over the course of this month on “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” have explained, I had headed down South early in the month to see family and now that I am back in good ole NYC, I’m getting to posting about many of the sights I enjoyed. I also wanted to serve up some images of the eats that I had if you can pardon the terrible pun and instead of lumping them all together they each get a post of their own. That brings me to the Liberty Tap Room which was the first place that my folks and I dined upon my arrival. It’s a typical pub type of place and since it was a Sunday there was not a lot of choices. Yes, outside of NYC places take off on Sunday.

The place had numerous representations of the iconic Statue Of Liberty around, and this was one of the more prominent ones so I snapped a visual. I’m not going to go overboard about the decor of the place as much as share the images of the eats that we enjoyed.

PiercingMetal Goes To Special Edition NYC 2014

The other day I attended a brand new convention that was being held at the Javits Center and called “Special Edition NYC”. It’s focus was on “Comics, Art, Culture” according to all the press copy and it was connected to the massive NY Comic Con under the direction of the folks at ReedPop. Since I was officially a part of the attending press, I covered the event over on PiercingMetal.com and you can see the chapters and all of the wonderful images that came along with it by clicking the logo right below.

Logo - Special Edition NYC

I’m pretty excited because as I had previously noted on this blog, my PiercingMetal.com site is now being fully delivered in WordPress after over nine years of using a traditional static design with a side blog that was using the software. Going forward, the plan is to have everything that is presented on the two sides of PiercingMetal fall into the fresh installation. By the way, I’ve disabled the means to comment on this post and instead ask that if you’d like to add topical thoughts about the presentation that you please do so on any of the narratives you will see on PiercingMetal.com

Big Changes Happening Over On PiercingMetal.com

As you know, this little space on the Internet was created to be the home for all of the other adventures that I undertook outside of my main PiercingMetal.com site. For four years I have been loading in a wide variety of what I felt you would find interesting and depending on what the adventure was, there were those times where I would send the readers here from the PiercingMetal.com site. Well, today I am using PiericngKen.com to send you all over to the brand new and very excited to have in place “NEW PIERCINGMETAL.com” (queue dramatic music please).

Click Logo To Go To The New PiercingMetal.com

Much like the site that you currently enjoy, I have installed WordPress in the PiercingMetal.com domain root and blew away the fashion in which you used to surf its content. I explain more in the link that clicking the logo will bring you to and I do hope you like it. There is so much more to be presented over there and don’t you worry, I love putting up different stuff about our city and the sights that I see around me over here and that will continue as well. Thanks for the interesting in both of these entertainment mediums.

Congratulations To Miss Lena Hall – A 2014 Tony Award Winner!!!

“And the winner in the category for “Lead Actress In A Musical” goes to Miss Lena Hall for “Hedwig And The Angry Inch”!!!! (applause are thunderous) I am so excited to be putting this post up on the PiercingKen.com site because one of the things that I love doing with this blog is to showcase the talented people that I have had the pleasure of meeting during the course of my adventuring. Such was the case with singer/actress Lena Hall who I met when she was fronting a Retro-Rock sensation called “Cocaine The Band”. The music was awesome and the bands individual persona were very well thought out. I greatly enjoyed what this was presenting.
