We are quite saddened to help share the recently revealed news about the pending closure of the Jukebox musical “Tina: The Tina Turner Musical” which will end this coming August as was announced on their Official Facebook Page. I’ve embedded the statement for your consumption and will add some additional thoughts down below.

So this news depresses me a bit more than you might expect but that’s because the show had become quite special to me since I first watched it in February of this year. You see, up until just over a month ago, I was working as one of the COVID Safety people at this show but the changes from the Broadway League and how they deal with COVID precautions found the work ending. C’est la vie right? Now while I am a tried and true Metal fan, I really found myself enjoying this show and hearing it night after night and watching the fine cast do their thing to entertain the masses. There was so much singing from the crowd that I knew was being felt by the actors and the band and it was just a good energy. Truth be told there isn’t a boring track across the whole show and I think fans of the singer will enjoy the presentation so I am going to recommend that they do.

While I never got to see Adrienne do her thing as Tina outside of the YouTube clips, I did get to see Nkeki, Kayla, Leandra and Ari do it and I’ve felt each of them brought something special to the role. I’d suggest that you try and catch this one unless you are thinking of hitting one of the tour dates when it goes out on the road. You have until the middle of August and if you are worrying about the pocket, remember there are places like TKTS in Times Square and TodayTix who often have pretty good discounts. Be a part of the folks who send “Tina – The Tina Turner Musical” off with a bang. As I close up, I wonder if you’ve already seen the show. If you have did you enjoy it? Chime in down below and I will see you next time. Stay safe out there because we aren’t out of the woods yet.
