It was back in July when “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” was back on point at the always interesting BroadwayCon for 2024. Held at the New York Hilton Midtown, it pretty much amounts to a theatrical version of a comic convention. There are panels and special guests and performances and also a whole bunch of themed cosplay. During the event that month I did a number of interviews and snapped a bunch of photos but my anticipated “Instagram Takeover” fell off of my planning schedule and just sat there – Until now. My quest to catch up to stuff finds me sharing this special feature now so please be aware that in addition to this presented image, there is an Instagram Takeover of the Piercing Ken Profile. It’s primarily cosplayers but that’s fine by me since I snap so many of those during the New York Comic Con for the PiercingMetal side of the creative coin. I’ll begin your jouney with this cool pin that they had the merchandise table. Clicking on this will bring you over to the profile and then I say click those hearts and chime in if you have something topical to add to the mix.
The BroadwayCon for 2024 is approaching at a rapid pace and I’m taking a moment to let you all know that “The Chronicles of Piercing Ken” has once again been approved as a member of the attending press for this years convention.
Historically speaking, I’ve been attending the BroadwayCon since 2018 if memory serves me correctly and back then it was held at the Javits Center and was running in tandem with both the New York Boat Show and the New York Times Travel Show. I learned about them onsite quite accidentally and have tried to do my best to broadcast some of the awesome stuff I get to see. At the time of this announcement I am totally unaware how I will approach this years happening but I know I will likely do some exhibitor interviews and a whole lot of Instagram posts if I see a wide gamut of cosplayers. That’s all I have to say on this one but stay tuned to the site and our social media via our Official Linktree. See you again soon.
The Chronicles of Piercing Ken was once again a part of the Pop Culture Media that was covering the annual BroadwayCon convention that was held at the New York Marriott Marquis hotel in Times Square. Having attended this convention since 2018, it’s an event that I look forward to because in some sense its like a Broadway themed comic convention. There are panels, performances and many attendees arrive in theatrical performance themed cosplay. There’s an amazing marketplace to shop all sorts of Broadway adjacent products and in addition to our interviews in this section I snagged some videos of the talent that was in attendance. Please enjoy these two awesome performances.
