On June 20th, 1975, the Universal Pictures film “Jaws” became the first Summer blockbuster and kept beachgoers terrified about hitting the surf and rightly so. For it’s time it was truly ahead of the game and in honor of its 50th Anniversary the movie returns to the big screen for a limited time running from today 8/29 until 9/4. I’ve shared the celebration poster, some cast and a brief premise along with the original poster and trailer. It’s time for you to be afraid to go in the water….Again.

The Plot: When a massive killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Long Island, it’s up to the local police chief, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down.

Now Streaming “Happy Gilmore 2” on Netflix (7/25/2025)

I’ve decided to stick to the program of continuing to help out the release of the “Happy Gilmore 2” film which premieres today on the Netflix streaming service. It’s been a forever since I last saw the first film which I believe is more than thirty years ago but I digress. When we last “met” for this one it was for the Official Trailer and if you missed that post just click the hyperlinked text to review it before we continue along. Now Playing: Walt Disney Studios “Snow White” (3/21/2025)

While I am a tad surprised that a release such as Disney’s “Snow White” didn’t seem to merit a second or even final trailer before its release day today, that is how it panned out. If you’ve been following the reports on the giant entertainment news feeds you already know that its not arrived without some controversary but that being said Disney’s “Snow White”, the live-action retelling of the classic firm has opened in theaters everywhere. Netflix Presents “Happy Gilmore 2” Official Teaser

There are so many great comedy films from Adam Sandler to choose from but “Happy Gilmore” is probably his biggest hit of the bunch. Now it’s not the kind of film that one would expect a sequel being done for but nowadays such a practice is commonplace. This leads me to the news that a sequel is indeed coming and to Netflix who just dropped the teaser clip. Check that out down below along with a basic premise and casting.

Now Playing: Universal Pictures “Wicked” (11/22/2024)

Having already discussed the legacy and milestone status of the Broadway show “Wicked” in one of the previously posted trailer narratives I don’t have much more to add to the mix other that ask how excited is everyone for the opening of the film today. The advance reviews have been positive which is always a good sign and I know a lot of people that are anxious to enjoy its magic on the big screen.
