The Press Release:
In accordance with current New York City guidelines for performance venues, all those in attendance at BroadwayCon 2022 including, but not limited to, ticketed attendees, special guests, presenters, vendors, press, and staff, who are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination will be required to be fully vaccinated by July 8, 2022 and to show proof of vaccination with a vaccine approved by the FDA or WHO (including emergency use authorization) to attend BroadwayCon in person. This includes children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. Fully vaccinated is defined as at least 14 days after receiving the final vaccine in a one- or two-shot protocol. Attendees will be required to wear masks during all programming sessions and are strongly encouraged to wear masks at all times during the event.

In accordance with current New York City guidelines for performance venues, any unvaccinated person, including children under the age of 5, is disallowed from attending BroadwayCon 2022.

Any additional BroadwayCon 2022 health and safety policies will be announced at a later date ahead of the event in line with the most up-to-date data and public health advice at that time.

Please note that the Mischief Management team is continuously reassessing these policies, which may change at any time through February 20, 2022. Attendees will be notified via email when there is a health & safety policy update. Additionally, the policy will be updated on this page along with the date at which it was updated.

Piercing Ken Thoughts: None of these requirements surprise me at this point in time based on the world around us.
Back in October and November, I attended the New York Comic Con and Anime NYC convention for my PiercingMetal.com website and since around that time I’ve been working in COVID safety on Broadway and there are a number of similar rules to follow if you wish to attend a show.
You need to be fully vaxxed which I am, and you must wear a mask at all times which I am now used to. If these rules are a problem for you then you might need to wait out until the next go round of this fun convention. Attendees and the curious can chime in down below but if you want to balk about these regulations please go back to Facebook and do that on your feed as I’ve not the time for that here. See you next time my readers and please keep safe out there. We are not yet out of the woods and I like knowing you are all fine and dandy. Ciao.
