Over the last week or so, Broadway has been taking a hit thanks to the growing presence of the Omicron variant of the Covid-19 coronavirus. Day by day we were learning of performances of “Hamilton”, “Wicked”, “Harry Potter”, “Tina”, “Ain’t Too Proud” and “Jagged Little Pill” being shuttered until all was clear. The 74th Annual Tony Award Winners Are Announced

tony awards logo

The Tony Award winners were announced/revealed last night and while its a show that I generally enjoy watching I wasn’t able to do so this year because the network decided to air the awards broadcast on the Paramount+ streaming service while a celebratory concert mixed with some announcements would air in tandem on the public network. Though I had a subscription to Paramount+ for a short time based on a discounted rate, I let it lapse since I have Netflix, Disney+ and HBO Max to contend with and don’t need it but I digress. I did my best to keep up with the filtering in announcements but ended up waiting for this morning to share the news with you. Let’s go.

Best Musical:
“Jagged Little Pill”
WINNER – “Moulin Rouge! The Musical”
“Tina — The Tina Turner Musical”

Best Play:
“Grand Horizons”
WINNER – “The Inheritance”
“Sea Wall/A Life”
“Slave Play”
“The Sound Inside”

Presenting The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards Winners

grammy awards logo

Well hello there my friends, I am back once more to discuss the topic of the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Now, the show has just recently ended its super long broadcast which was done live in front of a limited audience of artist participants and hosted by Trevor Noah. As expected the Rock and Metal awards were dished out before the broadcast and this narrative will showcase the entire list which we culled through by zipping past the stuff that didn’t interest us all that much. I don’t think I have to point out that I don’t really listen to much of the stuff that was honored do I? So sit back with that last glass of wine before the work week and if you are seeing this with the morning coffee make sure it’s a strong one. Here are your winners….may we have the envelope please.
