Paramount Pictures: “Wonder Park” Official Teaser Trailer

The official release of this Paramount Pictures animated feature isn’t until early 2019 but since we have a teaser trailer I figured let’s get it posted and spark up some advance interest. Here’s the brief clip for “Wonder Park” and I’ll follow it with some premise and the voice cast for good measure.

The Premise: A young creative girl named June, finds an incredible amusement park filled with fantastical rides and funny, talking animals called Wonder Land that was abandoned in the woods but soon realizes that the park came from her imagination and she is the only one who can save the magical place and revive the wonder with the help of the animals.

In order to keep helping the toy industry vendors we meet at events such as The Toy Insider and TTPM, its good to keep on posting the trailers for animated features whenever possible. Fortunately for me as a creative, with company’s like Disney, Pixar and of course Dreamworks, the possibilities are endless. That being said here is the first official trailer for the Dreamworks feature “How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” which was just unveiled a few short days ago. Let’s watch.

The Plot: One year after defending Berk from Drago, Hiccup and Toothless continue to rescue captured dragons in order to bring them back to Berk and create a bustling dragon and human utopia. Unfortunately, their efforts have also resulted in the island becoming severely overpopulated with dragons. In a response to the overcrowding, Hiccup desires to find the “Hidden World”, a safe haven for dragons that his late father Stoick told him about. Meanwhile, a white Fury[8] dragon, held captive by warlords, is given to infamous dragon hunter Grimmel the Grisly as bait for him to capture Toothless for the warlords’ use as an alpha. (c/o Wiki).

Warner Brothers Pictures: “Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” Official Trailer (2/2019)

A few years ago “The Lego Movie” was a mega hit that fans of all ages happily enjoyed. It’s the kind of film that those who saw it felt needed a sequel and I am not only happy to share that one is coming when 2019 hits, but there is also a trailer that surfaced yesterday. Let’s take a look.

The Plot: It’s been five years since the events of Taco Tuesday and the Duplo invaders have made Bricksburg into a post apocalyptic wasteland. Emmet (Chris Pratt) pretends everything is still awesome, unlike everyone else. When a new invader named Sweet Mayhem (Stephanie Beatriz) comes and kidnaps all his friends including Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks), Emmet must go into space and rescue them.

STX Entertainment’s “The Happytime Murders” Official Restricted Trailer (8/2018)

The film “The Happytime Murders” is a dark comedy that might call to mind some of the madness that we got from “Team America” but while the latter film was all puppets, this one features a human casting along with puppets and it stars Melissa McCarthy. Check out the uncensored trailer below and be sure to send the kids up to do their homework if you are playing this without headphones. It’s really NOT for their ears. Trust me on that.

The Plot: In a world where puppets are reviled and considered inferior to humans, puppet private investigator, Phil Phillips, reunites with his ex-partner Detective Connie Edwards to find a serial killer who murdered Phil’s brother and is now targeting the cast members of the 1980s television series The Happytime Gang.

Warner Brothers Pictures “The Meg” Official Trailer (2018)

In 2018, we will all have another reason to be afraid to go into the water thanks to “The Meg” which is short for “Megalodon” which means giant frigging Great White Shark. I’ve had interest in reading the novel that this film is based on and the first trailer for the upcoming Warner Brother Pictures release is presented below for your perusal.

The Premise: After escaping an attack by what he claims was by a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible (c/o IMDB).

The Cast/Characters:
Jason Statham as Jonas Taylor
Li Bingbing as Suyin Zhang
Rainn Wilson as Jack Morris
Ruby Rose as Jaxx Herd
Winston Chao as Dr. Minway Zhang
Cliff Curtis as James “Mac” Mackreides
Page Kennedy as DJ
Jessica McNamee as Celeste
Olafur Darri Olafsson as The Wall
Robert Taylor as Dr. Heller
Shuya Sophia Cai as Meiying
Masi Oka as Toshi
Rob Kipa-Williams as D’Angelo
Tawanda Manyimo as Marks

Piercing Ken Thoughts: I loved this trailer and felt that it brings back some of the monster shark craze that hit when “Jaws” was release so many years ago. I read that book long before I saw it in the movies and even the book had me off water for awhile. Of course this fear didn’t apply to the bathtub despite my youthful insistence and parents, I fear we might find this sort of behavior resurfacing thanks to “The Meg”. Personally speaking, I love giant monster films and since Megalodon is an ancient predator he falls into that category when it comes to this film. I’m also a Jason Statham fan so look forward to seeing this one. What did you think of the trailer? Let me know down in the comments section below and to close out I’ve shared a couple of the teaser posters.
