Dreamworks: “She-Ra and the Princesses Of Power” Teaser Trailer

Rebooting a classic property isn’t something new at all and the practice even hits classic animated series. The latest is a reboot of the “She-Ra Princess Of Power” which was a spin-off of “He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe”. The new series will stream exclusively on Netflix and is aimed at a slightly younger audience. So, for the glory of Greyskull, I give you the teaser trailer for “She-Ra and the Princesses Of Power”.

The Premise: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power follows Adora, an orphan raised by the Horde, an evil army led by Hordak, who rules the planet Etheria with an iron fist. One day, after getting lost in the woods, Adora finds a magic sword that transforms her into the titular Princess of Power, She-Ra. After realizing the suffering that the Horde has inflicted on Etheria and its inhabitants, Adora joins the Resistance in the fight against the Horde through rebuilding the Princess Alliance, a group of other magical girls that once all opposed Hordak. Adora’s newfound allegiance to the Resistance pits her against her former best friend Catra, whose sense of abandonment, malicious ambitions, and the disappearance of her former friend enables her to rise in the ranks of the Horde to become the new heroine’s mortal enemy. Opening: “The Meg” in Theaters Everywhere (8/10/2018)

Over the past couple of weeks here in my Media Metropolis, I can tell you that the summer heat has been sweltering and the humidity is enough to make you stay in the house with a giant glass of iced tea in front of your air conditioner while watching your favorite programming on whatever streaming service you prefer. It’s also hot enough to set up a base camp at the nearest beach but I should warn you that you just might have a little company if you do that. Sure, “Shark Week” might have ended a couple of weeks ago but now it’s time for the Carcharodon megalodon to show you he means business. Warner Brothers Pictures “The Meg” opens today in theaters everywhere. Here’s the theatrical poster, some premise and the casting.

The Premise: Five years ago, expert sea diver and Naval Captain Jonas Taylor encountered an unknown danger in the unexplored recesses of the Mariana Trench that forced him to abort his mission and abandon half his crew. Though the tragic incident earned him a dishonorable discharge, what ultimately cost him his career, his marriage and any semblance of honor was his unsupported and incredulous claims of what caused it – an attack on his vessel by a mammoth, 70-foot sea creature, believed to be extinct for more than a million years. But when a submersible lies sunk and disabled at the bottom of the ocean – carrying his ex-wife among the team onboard – he is the one who gets the call. Whether a shot at redemption or a suicide mission, Jonas must confront his fears and risk his own life and the lives of everyone trapped below on a single question: Could the Carcharodon Megalodon – the largest marine predator that ever existed – still be alive … and on the hunt? (c/o IMDB).

Sink Your Teeth Into “The Meg” Promotional Posters (Opens Friday)

The new Warner Brothers Pictures release is “The Meg” and it features a gigantic prehistoric shark known as the “Carcharocles Megalodon” and it opens on Friday. I was going to wait until the “Release” posting to share these posters but when my friend shared a live video to her Facebook stream that showed a really big shark in the waters of Brighton Beach with dozens of swimmers nearby I decided to post them today in advance. Gauging from the fast moving clip the shark did look big and was likely a Great White but the nearby people did seem to get out of the water without incident. That was GOOD thing for sure. So let’s begin with the “Coming Soon” poster that I first shared in the trailer narrative and once the premise of the new film has gone by you can check the rest of them out.
