PIX11 To Broadcast “The Honeymooners” Mini-Marathon on Thanksgiving

Greetings my friends and welcome to a special post with a dual purpose. I am not only here to wish you and yours a very “Happy Thanksgiving” but also to tell you that PIX11 has recently announced that a mini-marathon of eight episodes of “The Honeymooners” will be broadcast between showings of the holiday classic “March of The Wooden Soldiers” on Thanksgiving Day. That’s the timeless Laurel and Hardy film if you for some odd reason have never heard of it. Now the readers of this website know that for the last few years I’ve been posting a rundown of “The Honeymooners” marathon that begins after the evening news on PIX11 on New Year’s Eve and runs for a number of hours into New Year’s Day pausing only for local news. This however will be the very first time that I preceded that post with one about the Thanksgiving mini-marathon and truth be told I don’t recall there having been one before. I could be wrong about that so please don’t chastise me. These eight episodes are surely a tease for the longer marathon to come for New Year’s Day and as I glance on the ones airing can confirm to having seen them numerous times over the years. I’m still going to watch them since it is something that always hits the funny bone. These episodes come from that is called the “Classic 39”. Since it starts at 11:00AM, those who are in charge of the cooking might want to get the small portable TV’s that many used to have for such events. Here’s the rundown of episodes.

Revisiting The 2022 “Christmas In New York City” Videos

Though I realize that the Thanksgiving celebration is upon us and the Christmas holidays are still a few weeks away, I wanted to share a little project that I had undertook several months ago. The longer term readers of this blogsite know that during the holidays I venture out across the city to capture some stills and visuals of a number of Christmas trees to share their splendor across social media and of course the website and our Official YouTube Channel. This year I decided to begin a little early and revisit the videos that I did in 2022. That year I recorded a lot of clips but instead of presenting them one at a time, I compiled them all together into one massively long video. During the following year’s adventure I realized that while a long clip is nice, the clip should be preceded by all of the individual visits as this will allow for maximum traction and likely help Channel growth more than just one long, long video. As I was posting last year’s adventures, I found that I still had all the individual clean clips from 2022 so they were formatted to spec and uploaded onto the Channel where they sat in the queue for almost a year before beginning to premiere today. The journey in this revisit begins with Brooklyn Commons and each video will premiere at noon until they are finished.

At the time of this writing, I am mapping out the 2024 adventuring to get the most possible done but I first need to confirm that all of the main trees are lit. I believe early next week will be the lighting of the Bryant Park, Wall Street and Big Kahuna at Rockefeller Center and as you know I also hit parts of Brooklyn and higher into Manhattan during this several day jaunt. The full playlist of all of my “Christmas In New York City” adventures can be perused at your leisure by clicking HERE. It’s my hope that it helps inspire those visiting our region during the holidays to do their own adventure or at least see a few of the trees that have been featured in these videos. I hope you will also give the YouTube Channel a subscribe since its been a thriving feed since its launch in late 2020. While it was 10 years overdue I’ve made up for lost time and have more than 900 videos and shorts to enjoy. Remember that watching and engaging with this content not only helps the growth but shows YouTube that we are up to something worth seeing. Thanks in advance for indulging this special project feature. There might be some new videos overlapping but that’s fine since it will only be the case this season.

I’ve known and loved this building for years, and it truly ticks all our boxes. It’s an ideal location in a vibrant neighborhood that answers the call of our customers, and our custom footprint gives us room to welcome more great brands into our community, while maintaining the intimacy, the energy, and the careful curation that’s at the heart of what we do.”
