Greetings friends and welcome to another special post with a dual purpose. I’m sending out a slightly early “Happy Thanksgiving” wish to you and your loved ones and also to share that PIX11 has just announced that a mini-marathon of episodes of “The Honeymooners” will once again be happening on Thanksgiving Day between the hours of from 11AM-3PM. According to the listings these episodes will be broadcast between showings of the holiday Laurel and Hardy classic “March of The Wooden Soldiers”. The first showing of that film will be in black and white while the one afterwards will be in color. I love sharing rundowns like this one because its such a classic show and it gets me prepped for the longer marathon which runs every New Year’s Eve. While I’ve been doing that one for awhile this is only the second time that I’ve shared about the Thanksgiving Day one and by doing it a day or so in advance you have time to program your DVR or maybe even VHS player if you still happen to have one that works and a tape. These eight episodes are good ones but I really can’t find a single episode from the “Classic 39” that doesn’t make me laugh out loud. Are any of your own favorites listed in this rundown? If so do please chime in later on. Since these episodes are beginning while a lot of the feast preparation is still going on, it might be wise to pull that small portable set out of the closet.
