Hey there my friends, so its time to share a big awards show announcement with you as the nominations for the New Artist category of the 50th Annual American Music Awards were recently revealed on Good Morning America by Becky G and the whole enchilada was broadcast over on Twitter. Voting will begin on November 1st and the ceremony will air on November 20th. Let’s take a look at the full rundown.
Artist of the Year:
Tonight’s the night for the reveal of the annual MTV VMA’s which are the Video Music Awards winners. Now I know you are probably chuckling at this since MTV isn’t as known for the videos as much anymore and seems to be more about the Reality Shows but the ceremony is a popular one and it was awesome to know that it would be taking place at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Based on scheduling and that so little emphasis is on my own favored musical genres, I wouldn’t be in attendance but here is the rundown of the winners that were announced during the broadcast. As is my standard with such events, I have left the nomination names as well so fans can see who the winners were up against.

Madonna, who reigns at the most awarded artists in MTV history with 20 wins, becomes the only artist to be nominated in each of the “VMAs” five decades (1980s-2020s), as she earns her 69th nomination for “MADAME X.” This year also sees 26 first-time nominees, including Baby Keem (4), MTV PUSH artist GAYLE (2), Kacey Musgraves (2) and Måneskin (2), all receiving multiple nods, plus first nominations for Anitta, Becky G, Dove Cameron, Karol G, ITZY, JID, Muni Long, Tems, Wet Leg and more. The time is now my friends and it’s truly Broadway’s Biggest Night as the 75th Annual Tony Awards winners were recently given their trophies for excellence in theatre. I don’t think I have to state the obvious but this pandemic was a hard hit to the world of Broadway shows. Live theatre was put on hold back in March of 2020 and wouldn’t return until September of 2021 which is about 18 months dark. Let’s remember that this is more than the shows and the actors playing all the roles. It’s the musicians, its the stagehards and the assorted front of house staff and all those behind the scenes. The pandemic created COVID safety teams which I even participated in once the re-opening happened and when that return was in play, it was a wonderful thing to behold. So I casually watched the broadcast to catch the announcements and will be watching in full tomorrow since its a slower day for me. The main host of the show was Ariana DeBose and here now are your winners for the 75th Annual Tony Awards.
