Presenting The 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominations

Nominees for the 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards honoring outstanding individual, cast and ensemble performances for the past year* were announced this morning by Lily Collins (Emily in Paris, MANK) and Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer, BLINDSPOTTING, The Good Lord Bird) via Instagram Live. The nominees for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning by Jason George (Station 19) and Elizabeth McLaughlin (Grand Hotel) who were introduced by SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris. The 27th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 9 p.m. (ET) / 6 p.m. (PT). An encore will air on TNT at 11 p.m. (ET) / 8 p.m. (PT).

The Motion Picture Nominees are:

Presenting The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards Nominations

The Press Release:
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has announced the nominees for the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Sarah Jessica Parker, six-time Golden Globe winner, and Taraji P. Henson, Golden Globe winner, disclosed the nominees.

For the first time in the history of the Golden Globes, the nominations were announced virtually, following the current safety measures during the Covid pandemic.

The 78th Golden Globes will take place on February 28, coast to coast from 5 pm to 8 pm PT/8-11 ET on NBC. The event will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, returning for the fourth time, after hosting in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Fey and Poehler will share duties from their respective cities, with Fey on the East Coast and Poehler on the West Coast. Fey will be live from New York’s Rainbow Room, Poehler will be live from the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills, and nominees, from various locations around the world.

Amazon Studios Presents: “Coming 2 America” Official Trailer 2

When we last discussed the film “Coming 2 America”, it was almost Christmas time and I guess one could say that the First Trailer was like a video present to all of those who were looking forward to some visuals from said film If you didn’t see our trailer post just click HERE to complete the mission. Now it’s time to review the second trailer for this Amazon Prime Video original. To keep it interesting, I’ve placed the plot, the cast and some promotional posters down below. Enjoy.

The Premise: Set after the events of the first film, former Prince Akeem Joffer is set to become King of Zamunda when he discovers he has a son he never knew about in America – a street savvy Queens native named Lavelle. Honoring his royal father’s dying wish to groom this son as the crown prince, Akeem and Semmi set off to America once again. (c/o Paramount Pictures)

Walt Disney’s “Raya and The Last Dragon” Official Trailer

Based on how much time has gone by its almost amazing to recall that it was back in October of 2020 that we first shared some news about the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures film “Raya and The Last Dragon” but it was. Time seems to be moving very slowly at the moment so if you missed that trailer post just click HERE to be on point since that was a fun teaser. Now its time to look at the Official Trailer and as before I’ve added the premise, casting and some more artwork for you to enjoy. See you at the close.

The Premise: Long ago, in the world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, and her pet pill bug companion Tuk Tuk, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.

CBS Television Presents: “The Equalizer” Official Trailer

It would seem that CBS Television is bringing back one of their successful properties with a brand-new take on “The Equalizer”. The show was quite popular back in the mid-eighties and starred Patrick Woodward in the role of “The Equalizer”. In 2021 the task falls to Queen Latifa and the first trailer for the show is below. I’ve also included the series premise and casting. Sadly there was no artwork to showcase at the time of the trailer reveal. Enjoy.

The Premise: The series chronicles the life of Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman and single mother to teenage daughter Delilah, with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn, acting as a guardian angel and a defender for those who cannot defend themselves while pursuing her own redemption.
