Walt Disney’s “Raya and The Last Dragon” Official Trailer

Based on how much time has gone by its almost amazing to recall that it was back in October of 2020 that we first shared some news about the upcoming Walt Disney Pictures film “Raya and The Last Dragon” but it was. Time seems to be moving very slowly at the moment so if you missed that trailer post just click HERE to be on point since that was a fun teaser. Now its time to look at the Official Trailer and as before I’ve added the premise, casting and some more artwork for you to enjoy. See you at the close.

The Premise: Long ago, in the world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when sinister monsters known as the Druun threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, those same monsters have returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, and her pet pill bug companion Tuk Tuk, to track down the last dragon in order to finally stop the Druun for good. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.

It would seem that CBS Television is bringing back one of their successful properties with a brand-new take on “The Equalizer”. The show was quite popular back in the mid-eighties and starred Patrick Woodward in the role of “The Equalizer”. In 2021 the task falls to Queen Latifa and the first trailer for the show is below. I’ve also included the series premise and casting. Sadly there was no artwork to showcase at the time of the trailer reveal. Enjoy.

The Premise: The series chronicles the life of Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman and single mother to teenage daughter Delilah, with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn, acting as a guardian angel and a defender for those who cannot defend themselves while pursuing her own redemption.

The folks at CBS Studios have opted to give us a sequel to the world of FBI Agent Clarice Starling, and this is set shortly after the events of the book and film “The Silence Of The Lambs”. I loved that movie and I’ve got a sense of certainty that many of you did as well. The first trailer for the series that begins in February is available below along with some casting and promotional art.

The Premise: Set in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, the series serves as a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling, as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

Back in December, “The Chronicles” helped to share the news that the Netflix streaming service was continuing the previously discussed original series “Cobra Kai” with a third season trailer. Some of you might recall that they got this show from YouTube Red. You might also remember that is a series that picks up many years after the movies for “Karate Kid” had taken place and continues those characters stories. If you didn’t see that new trailer just click HERE to be on point. Since I didn’t see the earlier seasons I only posted about it and didn’t watch it myself. The third season is now available for your binging at the time you are reading this. New year, new binge right? I’ve culled the brief description from their YouTube listing and repeated the ensemble of characters from our earlier posts. Take a look.

Rundown Of “The Honeymooners” Marathon On PIX11 12/31/2020-1/1/2021

Last year, I took the time to line out the complete rundown of the annual marathon of episodes of “The Honeymooners”. After the year that we all have had I can honestly say that this classic comedy is the perfect way to both close and open up a hopefully promising new year. Based on the pandemic, there are even more of us under lockdown as the year closes up and while there are still specials with tons of autotune, my only real interest is the final countdown to the New Year. As in the past marathons, some of the funniest and best of the episodes will be aired so head over to WPIX 11 and spend some time in Brooklyn with Ralph Kramden, Ed Norton, Alice Kramden and Trixie Norton and just relax. The shows begin at 11PM and run continuously into the next day with a brief pause for area news at 4:30AM before picking back up again at 9AM. Let’s take a look.

December 31st:

11:00PM – The Bensonhurst Bomber
11:30PM – Unconventional Behavior
